Join your friends for a chat with Kathaleen\, and a day at the Children’s Museum and Museum Lab. There will be yummy food and a fun activity\, too! \nHow do I sign up? Make sure we know how many people are coming and the ages of any siblings attending with you. \nParents: This event is for families with a child aged 7-12\, who either has a bleeding disorder or is the sibling of a child with a bleeding disorder. All family members living in the household with the child who has a bleeding disorder are welcome. Bleeding disorders are a chronic condition and whether the diagnosis is mild or taking a medication that has kiddos present as milder\, it’s important for them to understand and be reminded why it’s important to be mindful of their own bleeding disorder or siblings bleeding disorder as well as finding empowerment in their awareness. Kathaleen Schnur\, LCSW\, from the Hemophilia Center of Western PA\, will guide a discussion with the children (ages 7-12) on respecting bleeding disorders. \nMuseum Admission: We will meet in one of the party rooms in the Children’s Museum; however\, admission to both the Children’s Museum and Museum Lab is included\, and you are welcome to spend the remainder of the day enjoying the museums. When you register\, please be sure to let us know if there are any food allergies or special dietary requirements.
