DESCRIPTION:Teenagers and their parents are invited to join us at the beautiful Family Retreat Center in Mars\, PA.  The weekend will include a great teen and parent program tailored for our group\, by Patrick Torrey.   The weekend will also include opportunities for both teens and parents to spend time with their peers and enjoy the retreat center! \nTeenagers ages 13-18 are invited. At this time\, there is a limit of one parent per family\, and a parent MUST accompany their teen(s). No other family members are permitted to attend. DESCRIPTION:Self-Care for Bleeding Disorder Caregivers – Put Your Oxygen Mask on First\nCaring for a child or partner can be exhausting. Bleeding disorders affect everyone in the family and you can experience a range of emotions from anger and anxiety to pride and satisfaction. This workshop is designed to help caregivers identify and accept the feelings encountered while caring for a loved one with a bleeding disorder as well as learn how to manage the tasks and feelings associated with being a caregiver with greater ease. \nYou will gain a clearer sense of priorities in caring for a loved one as well as explore the power of delegation and becoming comfortable using it. This workshop focuses on increasing your ability to care for yourself and how to care for your own body and spirit. You will learn to create balance so when you are in the role of caregiver you are operating at maximum efficiency! \nTake a break this summer and join your fellow female caregivers for this wonderful program! All ages are welcome!\nWhen: November 5-6\, 2022 \nWhere: Seven Springs Mountain Resort\n777 Waterwheel Dr.\, Seven Springs\, PA 15622 \nProgram Information: \nThe weekend will include sessions for adults with bleeding disorders and parents of children with bleeding disorders. Special programs and activities are provided for children ages 5-18 and daycare is provided for children ages 0-4. \nSessions include: \n\nControlling Bleeding — The basic and the new\nInfusion Training\nMental Health\nResearch Panel Discussion\nSocial Activities\n\nFun\, educational sessions and activities will be provided for children\, based on age group. Activities may include bowling\, indoor mini-golf\, scavenger hunt\, and game room. Two special pre-conference programs will be offered for Friday evening\, November 4: Teen & Parent and New Parent Network. Invitations for those programs will be sent to eligible members. \n\nThe weekend includes:\n1 or 2 Night Hotel Stay\nMeals and Snacks\nEducation Sessions for Adults\nSupervision\, Education Sessions\, and Activities for Children\nDaycare for Infants and Preschoolers\n\nThe only cost to attend this event is a $25 non-refundable registration fee\, per family (due at time of registration).
