Education Weekend provided our family with the opportunity to educate ourselves about his bleeding disorder. We were able to talk with doctors\, nurses and other families who have children living with the same condition and that helped us tremendously. One of the most satisfying things that came out of this weekend for us was that Zhi had a better understanding of his bleeding disorder and was no longer scared about his diagnosis. I was diagnosed with von Willebrand disease when I was a small child. Currently\, I am the only one in my family to be diagnosed with a bleeding/clotting disorder. At Education Weekend\, I enjoy all the opportunities to connect with others in the community. My favorite activity last year was axe throwing! This year\, I am looking forward to all the learning options there will be. The presentations are always informative and I always leave with more knowledge than I arrived with. Also\, the food is always good!” \nArthur\nRegistration Information:\n\nTo request a registration form\, send an email to rsvp@wpbdf.org or call 724-741-6160.
