Ridge Drive\nAllison Park\, PA 15101 \nTime: Registration begins at 7:30 AM\, Race begins at 8:30 AM\nDistance: 5K (3.1 miles) \nEach participant will receive a technical race t-shirt\, goody bag\, and medal. The final day to ensure a shirt in your size is Friday\, August 2nd. \nThe registration fee schedule is as follows: \nEarly Bird Pricing – $25 now through May 31\, 2024. \nPre-Race Registration – $30 from June 1 – September 20\, 2024 \nRace Day Fee – $35 \nVirtual Run for Their Lives 5K \nOur hybrid run gives you the choice to join us in-person on September 21st in North Park or be a virtual runner and run one of your favorite courses! SUMMARY:Camp Hot-to-Clot
DESCRIPTION:WPBDF is proud to help support Camp Hot-to-Clot\, which is organized by the Hemophilia Center of Western PA. \nCamp Hot-to-Clot is an overnight summer camp in Western Pennsylvania for youth aged 7-17\, who have a bleeding disorder or who have a sibling with a bleeding disorder\, and who live in Western Pennsylvania or the surrounding area. Fun activities such as swimming\, pickleball\, gaga\, rock wall climbing\, fishing\, canoeing\, archery\, arts & crafts\, and field games are offered in a safe\, nurturing environment that gives campers a chance to broaden their experiences. \nCamp Facility\n\nCamp Hot-to-Clot is held annually at the YMCA Camp Kon-O-Kwee near Zelienople\, PA (approximately 30 miles north of Pittsburgh). Camp Kon-O-Kwee is located on 500 acres of fields and woodlands along Connoquenessing Creek. It is owned and operated by YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh and is accredited by the American Camp Association. \nCamp Hot-to-Clot is staffed with professionals from the bleeding disorders community (including staff from the Hemophilia Center of Western Pennsylvania who specialize in nursing\, physical therapy\, and social work) and professional camp staff from Camp Kon-O-Kwee. Camp Hot-to-Clot staff works closely with Camp Kon-O-Kwee staff to provide a camp session that is safe\, educational\, and fun! \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nContact Information\n\nCamp Hot-to-Clot is organized by the Hemophilia Center of Western Pennsylvania. DESCRIPTION:We are looking for individuals who are interested in supporting the advocacy efforts of the Pennsylvania Bleeding Disorders Foundations throughout the year. Do you have a desire to meet with legislators to help influence decisions on policies that affect individuals and families living with bleeding disorders? \nIf you answered yes\, we would like you to join us in Harrisburg\, on Monday\, May 6 and Tuesday\, May 7\, 2024! \nOn Monday\, May 6\, you will receive training to become a Volunteer Advocacy Ambassador and learn about the issues we will be discussing with legislators the following day. \nOn Tuesday\, May 7\, we will head to the capitol to meet with legislators to advocate for the needs of the bleeding disorders community. Each advocate will be teamed up with other advocates to attend meetings in small groups. \nIf you have any questions\, call 724-741-6160 or send an email to info@wpbdf.org. \nThis training is open to individuals 18 years and older and mature adolescents and teens. Activities may include bowling\, indoor mini-golf\, scavenger hunts\, and game room. DESCRIPTION:The Western Pennsylvania Bleeding Disorders Foundation (WPBDF) invites you\, your family\, and friends to attend our holiday tree and wreath auction and bingo night! This auction will showcase decorated trees\, wreaths\, and tabletop centerpieces that are all available for bid. Bidding will open online on Friday\, November 24\, and end at our Final Night Event on December 2\, at 9 p.m. \nOur Final Night Event will take place at Red Fox Winery in Hickory\, PA. Tickets are $35 per person and doors open at 6:00 pm. Enjoy a delicious dinner\, take part in the auction live and in-person\, and play a few rounds of bingo! There will be additional raffles for even more chances to win big! Red Fox Winery will also be providing samples of their wine for guests 21 and over.
