#UNselfie is a “selfless selfie”, synonymous with #GivingTuesday. People on social media take photos of themselves holding up a caption after they’ve donated to a cause. On this piece of paper, they describe why they gave to their cause of choice (or write inspirational messages), then post it to social media to share.
This year, we are changing it up a bit with the #IGiveWhereILive Selfie.
Here is how you can participate!
1.) Create a sign! All you need is a sheet of paper. You can also download the #IGiveWhereILive Template here.
2.) Share why donating to WPCNHF is important to you. Briefly jot down why you give where you live. Tip: What makes you passionate about the Chapter? What has the Chapter done or provided that has brightened your day? Your experience?
3.) Snap a quick selfie. Smile! Hold your sign up and take a selfie.
4.) Post to Social Media. Share your sign and selfie on Facebook page and tag @WPANHF also be sure to add a donate now button to your post or create your own fundraiser for WPCNHF on Facebook. Facebook and Paypal will be matching donations up to 7 million dollars so this is a great way to make donations go even farther! Encourage your friends, family, and others in your network to participate in this #GivingTuesday initiative. Share on Twitter and Instagram too and tag @WPCNHF and use #IGiveWhereILive.
5.) Tag three other people in the post. Tag your bff, neighbor, or favorite family members in your post. By asking friends, family, and others in your network to follow your lead by supporting WPCNHF, you’ll be creating the most impact!
6.) Cheer them on! As others make donations on your behalf, cheer them on and thank them for taking this important step in raising critical awareness and funds for bleeding disorders. You’ve got a great circle of friends and family! Congratulations on inspiring them!
