Blood Brotherhood

Blood Brotherhood programs are open to males, aged 18 and over, who have a bleeding disorder, and are sponsored by the Hemophilia Federation of America. When topics are relevant to all men of the Foundation, including fathers of children with a diagnosis or spouses of a person with a diagnosis, the Blood Brothers extend the invitation to all men of the Foundation.

Past program topics include understanding your legal rights in the workplace and health insurance. The group has also gathered for social events to connect with others who have similar life experiences and to grow their peer networks. Past events have included attending Pittsburgh Pirate baseball games; gathering for a meal, conversation, and to watch a hockey game at a restaurant; and attending the Tall Ships festival.

John Yunghans is the volunteer coordinator for this group. For more information or to connect with John, please contact Janet Barone (janet@wpbdf.org).
