The Fourth Annual Bowling for Bleeding Disorders fundraiser, dubbed Boo-ling for Bleeding Disorders this year for its Halloween theme, was held at Paradise Island Bowl in Neville Island, Pennsylvania on Sunday, October 30, 2016. Dressed in costume, twelve teams participated in this 3-hour bowling marathon. The cost to attend was $25 per participant and included an event t-shirt, shoe rental, bowling, pizza, wings, and unlimited soft drinks.

Partimg_3612icipants voted and prizes were awarded for the most original costume, scariest costume, prettiest costume, funniest costume, and best group costume.  The most original costume award went to Dominic Ortenzo who was dressed as a journalist with a pinstriped fedora, press pass, and camera. The scariest costume award went to to Tony Ortenzo who was dressed up as a Mad Scientist in a white lab coat and a crazy unkempt grey wig. The prettiest costume award went to pretty young lady named Evelyn who was dressed as a unicorn. The funniest costume award went to Whes Ebsworth who was dressed in a teddy bear suit. The best group costume award went to Claire’s Creepy Clotters who went as the Jolly Green Giant and his vegetables.

We are extremely grateful for the all boolers who participated in this event. We are excited to report that over $13,000 was raised from this event!  100% of this money will stay local to support the members of the Western PA Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation. The sponsors of the event included Baxalta- Now part of Shire, CSL Behring, The Hemophilia Center of Western Pennsylvania, Accredo, Grifols, Novo Nordisk, Pfizer, and 91.3 WYEP.
