Join us on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at the North Park Swimming Pool for the 15th Annual Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk! The Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk brings our community together. It unites families with bleeding disorders and chapters with family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers to support important programs and services to help people with Hemophilia, von Willebrand Disease, and other rare bleeding disorders in our community.
The funds generated from our Walk help the Western Pennsylvania Bleeding Disorders Foundation:
Promote patient advocacy and blood safety for everyone
Support families in need by offering assistance with medical bills, travel to and from the treatment center, knee/elbow braces and other medical devices
Provide medical ID jewelry to our members at no cost to them
Provide local educational programming throughout the year
Provide a support network to all our community members
Create and increase awareness about bleeding disorders
Your support means continued education, support groups, and patient assistance for our members in need. By participating in our Unite Walk, you are raising critical funds and awareness for our mission and showing each other the strength & unity of the Bleeding Disorders Community.
Register today by starting a team, joining a team, or being an individual walker.
Please stay tuned for more information!
Thank you for your support!
P.S. This is a dog friendly event! We’d love to see your furry companions joining us on Walk Day!
WPBDF strives to enrich the lives of those with bleeding disorders in Western Pennsylvania and respond to the needs of the community in a dynamic environment.
The Western Pennsylvania Bleeding Disorders Foundation is a nonprofit consumer advocacy and service organization founded in the 1950’s and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 1976.
We were founded to help meet the vast education and support needs of the bleeding disorders community in Western Pennsylvania.
WPBDF serves families with bleeding disorders in 26 counties of Western Pennsylvania. Membership is free for people with bleeding disorders. We provide patient assistance to our members with bleeding disorders as well as hold a variety of educational events that cover a wide range of topics. Because bleeding disorders impact nearly every area of our members lives, we strive to provide relevant and timely information about everything from raising affected children to dealing with financial stress to joint health and treatment concerns and much more.
