Happy #ThankfulThursday! This Thursday, we are thankful for Kelly. Kelly is personally connected to WPCNHF because her 7-year-old son, Jaxon, has Severe Type A Hemophilia. She has been involved with the Chapter for six years participating in programs and raising critical funds for our annual Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk. Last year, Kelly held a fundraiser at Buffalo Wild Wings in St. Clairsville, Ohio. She stayed at the restaurant from 11 am until 8 pm, stopping anyone who came through the door to tell them about Jaxson and the bleeding disorders community. She also holds a Team Jaxson t-shirt fundraiser every year.
Kelly is grateful for everything the Chapter has done for her and her family and wants to help drive more awareness for bleeding disorders. She said, “Being awarded a scholarship, from the Chapter, to attend the NHF annual meeting, truly changed our lives. We built more relationships and became more educated on treatment options for Jaxson, as well as gained additional resources for our family.” We are so thankful to have you in our community, Kelly! ????
