It’s #ThankfulThursday again, and we would like to give a shout out to Monica! Monica has supported the Chapter for about one year. While she is not genetically connected to a bleeding disorder, she was introduced to WPCNHF through the Perry and Stern families. Monica is a self-employed State Farm Agent and not only sponsored our Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk last year but donated her time to volunteer the day of the event!
“Just being a part of the Walk last year [and other Chapter events], and seeing Mindy & Steve as well as Ryker’s grandparents, Mike and Michelle, work so hard and so tirelessly purely out of love for Ryker is such a great experience,” Monica said. “They have tackled this disease fearlessly and open minded. They have educated themselves and share what they have learned with others. I truly believe that when Ryker is older and learns a little bit more about Hemophilia, he will follow their lead and handle it like a champion. The Stern’s and Perry’s are leading by example!”
