Rebuilding the Body With Diet
Understand the components of food to help balance not only a plate, but an entire day’s
nutrition. Show how specific patterns in diet may impact areas affected by bleeding
disorders. A healthy diet can be fun and affordable, and help to build a strong, resilient body.
Speakers
Carmen Honnef, RD, CD
Carmen is a Registered, Certified Dietitian Nutritionist with The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and holds an MS in Nutrition and Certification in Health and Wellness Coaching from the University of St. Joseph in Connecticut. Carmen is an active affiliate with Fox 11 News as a nutrition expert and independently works with elite athletes in sports nutrition.
Brian Rodgers
Brian is a young man living with severe Hemophilia B. With a healthy outlook on life and compliant Hemophilia care, he has set out to live the active life he enjoys. Through the journey of his own medical care and developed passion for health, Brian is currently pursuing a degree in Dietetics with the goal of using nutrition to help people with chronic illnesses to discover a path to a healthier, more versatile lifestyle.
